Style PSA-58 piston seals combine a heavy duty, fabric reinforced seal with two polyacetal “L” bearings. This construction allows the seal to withstand pressures up to 5,000 PSI. “L” bearings also react to pressure to prevent extrusion and support the piston. For 2-piece pistons.

The Style PSC is a double acting piston seal designed to replace o-rings, quad-rings, and T-seals with the same groove dimensions (O-ring dash number). Style 575 urethane back-up rings may be added to either or both sides of the “PSC” to accommodate wider groove widths. The PSC is made of 95A Durometer polyurethane, giving it high extrusion and abrasion resistance. The crowned sealing surface produces a positive seal from vacuum to high pressure. Hercules® Sealing Products also offers a wide base (WB) Style PSC piston seal. These wide base seals have the same characteristics of the standard PSC seals but offer a wider base, eliminating the need to use back-up rings to accommodate wider grooves. Piston diameter “I” dimensions are given for piston without wear rings.

This two piece piston seal design comes made with a heat-stabilized, thermoplastic step-cut ring along with a profiled NBR energizer. This product offers extreme strength and resistance to extrusion, a very high resistance to abrasion, and ease of installation thanks to the step cut design and chamfered edges. The design also allows the seal to pass over ports without damage and offers greater resistance to surface roughness in comparison to any elastomer seals. The profiled energizer offers improved dynamic sealing ability, responding quickly to pressure changes and providing excellent sealing characteristics under a wide range of pressure conditions.

A double acting piston seal with many features: Two compact seal edges to concentrate the load against the dynamic surface, a cavity between the two external seal edges to retain fluid (reducing friction and wear), side grooves to allow pressure to load the energizer in all working conditions, high sealing performance at low pressure, excellent wear-resistance, and high resistance against extrusion.

The MPSU300 is a compact, double-acting piston seal consisting of two parts: a urethane sealing ring with a pronounced sealing edge and a rectangular nitrile energizer to prevent the seal from twisting within the groove. Manufactured from 55 Shore D polyester reinforced with <5% glass fiber, style PS1708 offers compact, low friction sealing for light to medium duty hydraulic cylinders. Style PS1708 is easily stretched over the piston without needing to be resized as in the PS1800 seals. Directly interchangeable with style PS1800 and PS1850 piston seals.
